Anybody ever checked out any of the Electric powered Motorcycles? Test rides? Owned one? I heard one of the former Buell engineers went to one of the Electric Co, I think Zero? Seems to be a push on sales of electric vehicles because the Hydrogen technology, fuel cell, is making progress? Hydrogen fuell cell can be fully refuelled in minutes compared to the time it takes to recharge batteries, I think 20 minutes to hours? Not sure if there is a hydrogen fuel celled motorcycle? Really do not think my next vehicle purchase will be a gasoline powered vehicle?

I test rode a zero a couple of years ago. It was a street model & it was a lot of fun, although not having gears or engine noise takes much of the motorcycle experience away.

They now have a dual-sport model which I think would be much better suited to the technology. All that instant torque, without all the obnoxious sound to disturb other back-country users, would be great out on the trails!

I would love to try one, especially a dual sport style. I know batteries are very expensive, but I believe they need to come with 2, one charges as you ride on the other like drills, etc. Also if out riding long in back woods (if you trailer bike to riding spot as a lot do) you could swing back and swap battery. charge times and long rides are a big drawback in my opinion. I also wonder what it's like to "not shift" , that would freak me out for awhile.

If you're interested in American sport bikes & electric power trains, you'll be interested in Michael Czysz.

Sad that he's now in such poor health...

Damn, I had no idea Michael Czysz was terminally ill... Man, that really sucks. His team was featured in the documentary "Charge". His determination and vision really made an impression on me. It's very sad.

Well it is pretty amazing the technology that gets hidden, shelved, ignored, or just outright destroyed. When researching EVs learned a lot about free energy that was achieved:
Nikoli Tesla 1932 drove a converted electric car that went over 90mph for as long as he wanted, no batteries just an antenna.
Henry Moray developed a 60lb power plant that developed 50kw of power. Moray in this plant achieved generating electricity from naturally occuring high frequencies that are all around us. He did it by actually creating the first transistor, before Bell labs, that were used to tune into the naturally occuring frequencies.
Wow, these guys could have changed the game and we would not be getting ripped off paying for gasoline or electricity. I believe somebody would have created a new way of ripping us off, but not with electricity.
