| Lower bars, mirrors under the bars, wider front tire, lower mounted speedo, smaller seat, and pegs further forward. Basically everything that I would do to a sportster already done. | |

| I agree, looks like an Iron with the mirrors upside down and spoked wheels. Don't get me wrong, I liked it enough to buy it, but I wouldnt go back for it. | |

Peanut tank too. It's a "parts bin custom". H-D will sell a bunch of these because they're selling a lifestyle and it fits in perfectly with the 20-something bad ass image. They can thank guys like Exile for making this so popular. I know that was my inspiration when I rattle canned my XL satin black and ScotchBrited all the chrome (except the exhaust).
It's a great look, but in the end it's a H-D that really wants to be a Buell. It's a shame, because good XLs like the ol' 1200s and the XR1200 won't sell nearly as well even though they are (or were) technically superior bikes. This is another reason why Buell was axed. Clear that showroom floor space. Take out the real road bikes and make room for biker image motorcycles. Pfft. |

B glad you live in Cali or else I would slap the shit out if you. Not to mention I hate the bike, it has this horrid HD logo all over the damn thing that I just don't understand.
To all their own, pimp what you want just make sure you dress appropriately, hence atleast a button up shirt and some penny loafers

Don't forget the tiny 2.1 gallon peanut tank over a 1200 rubbermounted engine... Basically, a bar hopper (unless you carry a gas can over your shoulder). |

I love Sportsters, they're a friggin blast to ride.
I understand most people's resentment to HD, but it's also the heritage our Buells were born from. I'm disappointed with HD's latest business moves and their introduction of their factory Trike, but I still dig their bikes. (well, the ones that don't come too faggy from the shop) |

If I was going that direction I'd have my buddy build me one of his Street Bob conversions. One of a kind.

here is my rant about the so called new HD 48...the sportser Nightster looks alot better for a sportser. it seems to be just a nightser with new catalog gas tank & seat, and new name. to me I see nothing Truely custom from HD Dark Custom bikes.
here is my rant ... what the F**K is new about it . a catalog gas tank & seat, just because you add the new name to it doesn't make it new, & the video for it is full of fad & trending following dumbasses that look like they never owned much less ever rode a MC. you HD corprate idoits suck ass and are killing HD and making lots of people to start to hate HD . start making & selling real motorcycles , stop selling just another name brand on everything just for $$ in your pocket. my 2cents and I dont care if you agree or not . and I'm not saying your a dumbass or anything like that if you like it, just my opinion on the bike (and video) it self. |
