Short and sweet. On your XB, how far have you gone with the fuel light on?
I figure max is 35 miles. |

| I got 38 KM on my XB12R, that's like 20 miles or so. In a HUGE rain storm no less, and you thought you were sweating. LOL, Wayne | |

LOL
37.5 miles on a 2004 XB12R. But I've ran out with less miles on "F trip". I ran out with 3/10 of a gallon left! I topped it off and could only get 3.4 gallons in it. P.S. I GOT 65.5 MILES TO THE GALLON THE OTHER WEEKEND ! |

How in the hell did you pull 65.5 mpg?! Are you running some sort of "Green" conversion on it?
I can pull about 45-48 mpg on mine. As far as the Fuel Light, I don't ever go more than 20 miles once the light triggers. I've done my fair share of pushing in my past and don't want to do it again.

I've got 62mpg before, but I was doing the speed limit. I don't know what was wrong with me I'll never do that again! sorry to scare you guys like that.
I've had to push a bike about a mile before, so I've never had the balls to go more than 18. |

Man, I must be doing something wrong. Were you going the speedlimit without any stop-n-gos?
I can't even imagine getting that kind of fuel mileage. I must be riding like a friggin maniac compared to you fellas |

I swear it feels like I get feetpergallon instead of MPG for me.
I ride the Dyna and cruise so when I get on the buell it always go time! I try and keep it under 20 miles after the light comes on. But I usually never rely on the light. Keep track of your miles and know how far you can get on a tank. |

Ive gone 35 miles or so.
As far as gas mileage ..I get EXTREMELY good gas mileage on mine for some reason My fuel light usually doesnt even come on until around 180 miles. My best mpg so far is 67mpg...my worst is 48. The day I got 48 ..the only real difference was it was really windy out. I wont hijack this thread about mpg lol |

| The fuel capacity on my SS is 16.7 litres and 3.1 litres on reserve. Is the 3.1 included in the 16.7 or does the bike have a 19.8 total fuel capacity? I get 220 Kms. before the light comes on and I figured I'd get only about 20 Kms more but that can't be the case according to some of you. | |
