"Heavily Re-engineering" a "decade old design" and not even have a frame yet? Gotta be a joke to think they'll be competitive when everyone else has a DECADE of advancement since then, not to mention this bad boy:

I bet the street version wipes it's butt with the Harley "race bike".

524lbs, but who's counting with 300HP and 115Lb/ft!! "theoretical top speed of 250-260mph". Oh lord! The game changer is here. It will slowly lose weight and get more power, like they all do.

Harley has a looooong way to go to catch up. There is no amount of Marc Marques shoulder corner scrubbing that can make a 10 year old engine design keep up with that.

That H-2 needs that weight to be balanced and smooth.
Why do you think the 1000cc sport bike is the marquis of race bikes. The perfect power to weight ratio. WSBK and Moto Gp are great sports centered around the liter bike. Just saying that the weight was probably factored in when designing such marvel of machinery.
Harley and Kawasaki H-2. Nothing in common.

easy guys. the pics and the content of the article are not synonymous. bike has not been unveiled and author of article clueless to its design and appearance. the pics in the article are for reference only. would be like me penning an article "Chrysler to resurrect Plymouth name-plate and return to NASCAR racing"....then throwing in a pic of my SuperBird just for the hell of it.

I don't disagree, & yes, the pics stood out for me as being only tangentially relevant to the article. But I think what still makes the story amusing to me is that Harley has a long track record of announcing that they're going to do something innovative, then retreating as soon as they realize that it's easier just to sell the license to their logo & to make the same old bikes for a market prepared to pay whatever they ask. It makes it tough to believe this announcement.

    Nice car BTW...
