I don't have a helmet for my bike right now even tho the law here says you have to have one. I'm getting tired of having to evade the cops and listen to my wife bitch so am thinking about getting one. I like the Street Bandit for looks
What do you guys have and how do you like em?

I run all Icon gear.  Leathers, pants, gloves, helmets and all.  I have a Black rubatone Alliance SS helmet.  I have a Stealth Daytona Jacket, stealth pursuit gloves, a White Tarmac jacket, and white tarmac gloves.  I wouldn't buy anything else.

Im not sure about all the duct work on the outside of the Icons Ive seen. Do they look ok in person? The pics look a bit over done. I like the look of this one tho http://i17.ebayimg.com/04/i/08/68/b7/e0_1.JPG

Both of those are good looking units. May I recommend a modular, though. The ones with the entire front on a hinge. In hot climates they are nice to be able to open at stop lights for some better ventilation.

I have that second helmet. It looks soooo bad ass with my red Buell Lightning. It almost looks custom made for the bike, especially in the back. I got it because I thought it was so cool I wouldn't want to ride without it. One of my good friends just died riding his Ninja without a helmet. They said he would have lived if he had one. I ordered that helmet immediately after his funeral. I got it on ebay for about $300.

I thought about a modular but don,t really see any that look cool enough lol. I just finished riding hitting speeds of 135 and promised the wife I'd get one so have to decide this week. That icon helmet is 175 on eBay now

Yes, that's a nice helmet. The more Icon helmets I see the more I like them.

I cant believe the advances in helmets!! The last one I bought was in 98' when I got my cbr.  Just bought new ones from HJC and wow, my last were HJC and were nice but these are better.  Lighter and more comfortable.  I was considering the little half helmets, I call em brain buckets.  Just think on a buell it looks bad ass.  But then again ever get hit in the face with a fat bug doing 80?  FULL FACE FOR ME

Arai has spoiled me I can't go back to anything else. They are exspensive,500-700- but they track in the wind great and have very low wind noise.

My lid is an old-school AGV circa 1997.  Decals and rash is the predominant paint scheme (LOL).  But seriously, I need to look into a new one too.  There are some sharp looking lids on this thread.

Shoei RF1000 for me.  I was floored on how new helmets fit and work.  Spend the money on a good hat.  My friend had an Arai and he would not go back.

Isnt that Simpson a drag racing helmet?

Nolan N-102 Flip Face
Comfortable, but somewhat noisy at  70+
Flip Down eyeshade is nice though as is the ability to open the whole front of the helmet while stopped at a light.

only thing is the graphics are weak!

Help me get over my halfshell.  I just can't handle the lack of peripheral vision with my fullface and also the wind and the smells it brings through forests and farmland is one of the things I crave a bike for.  Although January in NJ kinda calls for the fullface.

I use an Icon Mainframe right now.  Best helmet I have owned so far and the price was right.
