I love ICON, I would stand behind any of their products as long as they fit correctly at this point.
Ok I know this has been asked a trillion times and there are several topics on it.
I want to narrow down the spectrum a lil bit though.
This is for those on a budjet that can't afford $400+ helmets. Lets here about what y'all have or have used that's $200 or less. Pros and cons of it and so forth.
I'm currently looking at a Icon Alliance Harninger local to me that's on sale for $160. My HJC Cl15 Mutant is now 4 years old and though there's nothing wrong with it... I feel its time to get a new lid.

Rocking the Icon Variant right now, i did a review write up on here somewhere about it. Great helmet if you spend most your time under 120mph.
I have a big ass head and it fit better than helmets 2x the price. I know that icon seems to have a bad rep, but why? I've read the reviews, looked online and they seem to be good middle of the road helmets.
I love my AFX Helmet, it's an FX-100 and it has an awesome internal flipdown sun screen so you can keep the clear shield and flip the sunscreen down when you need it. I got it on clearance from a motorcycle store selling off everything for $70, I think normal asking price is around 130-150. I originally just got it to ride my bike home when I picked it up but now I love it and plan on keeping it a long time.
Have a Icon and hated it way to much air noise bought a Scorpion and it fits and works as well as my Shoei @ half the price!Good luck in your search for the perfect helmet , Lot of it is personal preference .:D
I have an o'neal with built in bluetooth. Never tried to answer the phone or make a call. I just use it for the music. The battery lasts a long time on a charge. Got it off ebay. Was $150 maybe.
Seems like there's been a lot of buzz about the Bell lineup lately. I was speaking with Wes at www.pinkgorilla.com about them and he really recommended them. Some models have the auto-tinting wind-screen which seems like it would be a great feature.
Right now, I'm using a Sparx Helmet which is definitely not a high end piece but I picked it up for $65 so I'm not complaining. At my old work, we actually did some benchmark impact tests on one and they did well.
Whatever you chose, try to give Wes a try at your business. They're a sponsor here, they give forum discounts, and Wes is an all around good dude!
Good luck!
What would you buy if the budget wasn't in play? The reason i'm asking freak is sometimes sportbiketrackgear.com and revzilla.com put these helmets on clearance. I purchased my Bell RSD C-Note from sbtg on clearance for $199.
Maybe we need to start another online coupon code thread.
Honestly I don't know if budjet wasn't an issue. I know I tried several brands on recently.... Everything from $700 helmets just for ****s and giggles down to $100 close outs of no name brands. I really was hoping somthing in the HJC line up would work just because I've had really good luck with my CL15, but they all felt really weird......as if they think everyone had a narrow head. Bell.... I couldn't even get my head through the opening of a XXL. S&s was ok but felt cheap.
