Name brand gas around here is running an average of $4.30 per gallon 93 octane. Still able to put in 87 octane in my vans for just under $4. Ocean County, NJ.

$4.15 for unleaded. I haven't filled up the Buell recently to know what the premium is running.

4.39 for 92. Whats the avrage drive distance to work where your at lefox? i think in my area its 40 miles one way. One place i often work is 184 miles round trip thats a hard drive to make a 4 am

yeah social/city+state taxes/work dues/medicare take close to 50% of each check then i had to pay near $14,000 usd for health care last year and bike and care insurance are 220-240$ a month (i have it auto withdrawl from my checking so not sure)
Then all my personal stuff like electic, heating gas, driving gas, property taxes, vehical takes, food, and doctor bills. i spent im guessing close to 75-85% in all that crap... i make good money and would hate to think how anyone that makes 20 bucks an hour or less could make it... 75% of jobs in my area are 7$ an hour or less. I got a few guys from europe i play with on xbox and i cant beleave that minimum wage is like 10euro an hour!! When our minimum wage is just ove $5 usd an hour... I judt dont understand how They expect our economy to get better when a person has to work one hour to buy a loaf of bread an then another hour to buy milk...

4.00 premium/ 93 in some places....
Waterloo, Ia I also, get roughly 60/gallon on highway going roughly 75.... In town I get about 45-53.... |

But if you add in the cost of health care and retirement we pay it equals out. no, it's not like that. we get a basic medical care, no hospital here will refuse care to anyone like in the u.s. when you are not insurance....but that nots enough if you want good care or need several operations. it's enough to patch you up, so to say. that is automaticly taken out of our paycheck. there's no choice here. a boss pays twice as much as you will 'earn', but then taxes, heath insurance and such gets deducted before the money even gets on your account. and as an extra, you now need added insurance, since the government can't keep paying all the medical bills because the funds are not what they used to be (more older people, less working folks, more medical expenses) so the difference here is that you most likely get payed what your boss pays, you are free to choose the kind and extent of your insurance and pay less taxes. but all this is an another question/topic => back to the gas prices
