Awesome bike for the money. Just not a twin or a triumph. Honestly would use money and get used MT-01 instead .02c

clearly Yamaha continues to employ designers with "Transformer" obsessions.
    Pros-none come to mind
    Cons-it's a Yamaha

I don't have any actual experience other than a test rideā€¦
I liked it for a city bike, short gears and flickable. I have always found Yamaha's to be as reliable as your own shadow!

Rode on a couple of times, really enjoyed it. Much hoonability and a comfortable ride.

I've only test rode one, but I really liked it. Great motor and very comfortable. The suspension was it's weak point, but I'm a big dude. Although everything I have read says the suspension is definitely the weak point. It is on my short list of bikes to buy.

Sorry I have Zero experience with this bike! This post has taken me to the Yamaha website and you can see some interesting bikes there: There is an FJ-09, Similair to the FZ-09 about $2Gs more but has Windscreen, hard sides, and some other extras that come standard and look good. Also There is an FZ-07 that has an in-line twin, 58 mpg, cost over $1000 less than the FZ-09 and 58mpg. Looks like there are a lot of options here.

I demoed an FZ09 at the AIM expo last year and really enjoyed it. The suspension was squishy but I liked everything about it.

Last week I demoed a fj09 at a local dealer and the suspension was better but still not perfect. I'm pretty sure my next bike will be a Yamaha.
