| I switched from Conti Road Attacks to Michelin Pilot Road 2ct's last may on my Triumph Sprint ST, can't tell you many miles, because at 6,000 and four laps of the Nordschliefe, they still look new. I scrape pegs with my girlfriend on the back. I picked up my 09 Uly last week of July and have 1500 miles on it and they seem to wear alright. Scraped the pegs riding up in the Odenwald, haven't gotten to the Schwartzwald, Black Forest yet. So take your pic. The Conti's were my track day tire on a Katana 750 and worked great, knee draggin time. Only reason I didn't like them is my Triumph ate them for lunch, rear every 3k miles. | |

| Im running the Pirelli Diablo Rosso's. On my 2nd rear, (3 Diablo's previously) first front (3k in). I really like them. Im getting 6k out of the rears commuting and playing in the hills on weekends. They warm up fast and i lack any sign of chicken strips. Work well in rain as well as long as you got a little heat in them. | |

ok my dunlop road smart hit the tread bars on my 2k+ trip around 6k in miles but on the plus side i got 400 mile twisty ride and the outside compound is sticky as a racde tire but wears as fast two.
going to trie and ride it out the rest of the season maybe try a 190 50 17 the front still has plenty of tread so i am sticking with the road smarts |

| Tin Man...I ran the Qualifiers as my last set. They are very good all around tires, the wear pretty fast though. I switched to the Bridgestone BT016 and like them just as well. | |

What do you guys think of the Bridgestone Battlax BT-016? Anyone use them? I've heard their lean angle for the soft compound is less than the PP2ct's. How about warm up, wet conditions, and performance various temperatures?

Dave I have the battle axes. I had just gotten it installed on my rear again and broke it in while I was carving it up with you in Big Sur during Moto GP. I like them
Took them thru the loop from Arroyo Seco to Carmel Valley too and never felt them slip once. Very good street tires, I got about 6k out of them compared to 2-3k like the stock Diablo's. And my chicken strips were almost non existent

| im running dunlop qualifiers too. i bought the bike and the dealer had just put new tires on it. at least they picked a pretty good set. they seem to heat up quickly and traction in the wet is predictable. | |

Thanks Baja, I think I found my next tire. No prob. I was really happy with them and sure did push myself following you while just in pants and my shoes without too much worry. Oh yeah, get it from Mike at Seaside Superbikes, he gave me a great deal, something like $240 installed next day. I'll take you over there if needed to get the good price. Hes a good guy. |

I'm loving my Bridgstone BT-016. Wow that is some sticky stuff on the edges.
Better that the 2 sets of Dunlop Qualifiers which were equal to the set of Shinko Stealths F003RR tires... |

Le Fox: It looks like you've had alot of different tires on your Buell... Are all the comparisons that you have made been done with the stock rear size? I've read several debates on the topic, but I'd like to understand if your opinion was based on stock size and if you ever went with a 190 on the rear or would consider it... thanks for all the info...Great post!!![]() ![]()

Tomahawk tires... Good? Bad?
I found these guys online a few days ago. They make recapped tires for motorcycles. They are way cheaper than "new" tires. I wondered if anyone has heard of them and if so are the tires any good? |

PIRELLI SCORPION SYNC!!!!!
In regards to the Pirelli Scorpion Sync tire... VERY AWESOME TIRE, for my style of riding. I come from a motocross racing background and I ride my XB9SX VERY aggressively... VERY as in sheared the rubber teeth off a "lifetime" drive belt after 10k miles... The Pirelli Scorpion Sync tires came stock on the bike and I got 7k out of them with just a little tread left on the rear, the HD shop then put me on a set of Diablo's which lasted right at 3k before i had steel wire showing through the entire rear tire! Now I am back on the Pirelli Scorpion Sync and will never stray again... From my experience and in my personal opinion, the Pirelli Scorpion Sync is the best tire out there for aggressive street riding! Both aesthetically and in quality. |

I have the BT016's on my 08 ZX10. Very sticky tires in the corners. I got better wear out of them than the PP 2CT's.
I've only been on two rides with my 09 CityX, but so far I don't have any issues with the stock Pirelli's. I've only gone on one aggressive ride, but they handled well in the corners. I'm going to give the Buell a good workout this season and make a decision on whether to go with the 016's or stay with the Sync's. BTW, get the aftermarket version of the 016's..NOT the stock OEM version. |

Thanks Briar No you won't have any problems since that's the stock size on our Buells. Also check out Motorcyclesuperstore for prices on these as they may be a few $$ cheaper. |
