It's time boys and girls. The weather doesn't get much better than this.
We need to plan a group ride before our faces melt off in the summer. Awesomely, Eric aka Midnight aka Dr. Awesomeness |

Killer, Get back to us and we'll plan something out.
I'm a M-F 8a-5p type too, so it'd have to be a weekend (at least for me). Phoenix streets wont be the same Also, post your destination ideas. I'm an East Sider, so an obvious one would be Tortilla Flat, but I'm open to anywhere. |

I'm down for TTF anytime but also like the B-line up to Payson or maybe even salt river... I have never done that on the Buell.
I'm also a semi-east sider being in N. Mesa |

the gf's schedule has opened up, but my ex- has comedown with chickenpox, so I can't take the boy there for his weekend visit. I'm hoping it will clear up, and I'll be able to get free in the next couple weeks. It would also have to be a sat afternoon-evening.
Damn life keeps getting in the way of fun.
I'll have to call in some other favors, to see if I could make it the 20th/21st |

20th/21st can work for me too.
Ophawk - Your ex got the Chickenpox? Isn't that like Yellow Fever? I thought that everyone was vacinated for that. ;-) sounds like when my ex got "sick" and kept us from going to Vegas. "We're 4 wolves roming around the desert looking for strippers and cocaine" |

| Technically she has Shingles, which is the same virus as Chickenpox, I guess the virus stays dormant in your system then something triggers it to activate. what do Doctors know?? I thought once you had it, you have the anti-bodies, and can't get it again. No normal vaccine for it. Now Smallpox is a different animal altogether. That is the vaccine that left the scar when we got it, also when they-the powers that be took our DNA to be cataloged and saved in the Vault in Helsinki. | |

| How do you guys do with the emissions testing in AZ? In PA we have inspection but no emissions. Do you just switch your maps back to stock? | |

| They emission test here, but it can't be all that strict, I took my bike in with open air box, hackpipe exhaust and a gnarly ECM and still passed. | |

| We have no inspection but they do emission test... If your registering a bike from out of state they will do a half ass insp. but its just checking the vin numbers between the frame and engine... My bikes arent old enought to have to go thru emissions yet... I think its after 5 years... | |

Midnight, that's a non-issue, I thought the same thing.
Torrey, unique thing about the Buell, when they do the emission test they only do an Idle test, then run it up to about 2000rpm, then do a second idle test. They can't use the dyno because of the exhaust exit in front of the rear tire, for safety reasons. By the way mine has failed the initial test before, the plugs terminal had vibrated loose and caused a misfire, pulled then tightened them up, and she squeaked by. but remember mine is not fuel injected with a computer correcting the a/f ratio, mine is all manual. xtreme is correct on the time 5 years or newer don't need to be tested. |

Xtreme - I shot you a PM with my cell. I have to go home and get my bike. I took the Crown Vic to work today. Something about heat and sound system sparked an interest this morning.
Awesomely, Eric |

Nice to meet you Eric, the turn out was pretty good out there! Next month I should have a couple more of my friends out there on sport bikes to try to help thin out all the HD riders.
Can't wait to get this ride shaped up, I'm thinking we should shoot for Saturday morning the 20th! that way I might be able to make a trip up to sunrise for some snowboarding if there is still snow up there?? How dose that work for everyone? If we can get a date set maybe we can settle on a location then post it up on some local forums and get some more interest! |
