Thread: Wtb 1125r aftermarket exhaust

  1. #1
Hey everyone, I've been drooling over aftermarket exhausts for my 1125r but I can't stomach 800 for an exhaust and ECM so I'm just wondering if anyone has an exhaust or ECM or combo that they are interested in selling? I'm not a total cheap skate I just thought I'd ask around first! Also I've heard that just getting the race ECM with the stock exhaust is a huge difference so maybe that's a better use of my money? Feel free to chime in. I've got a modified exhaust, just tips to divert the exhaust off the wheel and some sheet metal work I did to bring the front of the exhaust to a point, so if someone's got an exhaust they maybe want to trade we could work something out plus cash on my end.

I have nothing to trade but figured I would chime in. I run a Hawk exhaust. There is no good representation of sound or performance on the internet that I could find. No videos or soundclips capture the tone. Soundwise, think of a crisp 350 chevy block. As far as performance goes I'm working on getting my bike at a dyno to put up some numbers for comparison. Definately seemed to add some midrange grunt from the stock. It's not too loud but its definately not quiet. Driving through or starting up in parking lots it will occasionally set off the odd car alarm. You should look up hawk exhaust and give randy a call.

Originally I had intended to pick up a keda or an aph. Due to monetary issues I had to settle on the hawk. That being said, I am thoroughly satisfied and smile everytime I start her up.

Mope- idk if I can do the D&D, they look awesome but I don't think my ears could handle it!

Goose- I've seen pictures of the hawk exhaust, I've looked into modifying my exhaust but I think I want something that EBR has tuned computers for

Example- I've heard nothing but good things about the HMF, I'm not too wild about the looks but I may end up getting one of those, like I said originally tho, I just can't stomach 800 for exhaust and ECM when I keep hearing that just the ECM will make almost as much difference

This + EBR ecm will wake the bike up. Yeah, it's the $800 problem you're having, but there isn't much out there that makes the same power. The only thing that really beats it is an $1800+ exhaust, plus the ecm to go with it and it doesn't beat it by much.

Such a beautiful exhaust and it sounds like heaven, someday I will have that rt3 but I'm trying to pay for college and a two year service mission somewhere in the world so I think for this summer I'm going to have to wait on it :(

I am in the same boat. Would love Keda, just can not justify the cost. Barkers go for $375ish on ebay. Don't look awesome, but sound good and make good power.
