Just curious how much would you guys price a race pipe at that had a dent at the front? (like so many pipes do)
Its showing its age a bit, its off an 03, and has some surface rust (I'll probably sand blast it, and either paint it, or ceramic coat it) but if i decide to sell it how much would a fair price be?.... and don't tell me you'll take it for $20 since its not worth anything because of the dent, i would like an honest answer...

I have a race pipe on my bike already, but got this for a good deal, and will probably sell it unless the dent is smaller than the one thats already on my bike (the pipe in the picture is on its way to my house)
Realistically i'm selling it so i can buy a new helmet (icon variant! haha) or at least use the money from the sale to help fund my new helmet

Honest answer! If i was in the market for one i would probably pay $300-350 for your dented exhaust. I love the race exhaust! Mine has treated me well.

| Depends on if theres any more dents. If the rest of it's straight I'd say around $275. I've seen them go as high as $450.... | |

Well i got the pipe in the mail, and the dent isnt as bad as it looks in the picture! Its pretty shallow, and looks like it will clean up niclely one its sand blasted and painted\ceramic coated!
And say if i have a race ecm to add along with it, would i be able to get another $200 on ebay?... What do you guys think? |

| Ugh, maybe another $150 added on WITH the ECM. Possibly more on ebay. | |

| I would fix it and paint it and than try to sell it. This way nobody will have a reason lowball you on the price. | |

| Yea thats my plan magic, ill paint it or ceamic coat it depending on price. Is there a way to get dents out of pipes?... | |

| Sure, any decent body shop could get the dent mostly out. Probably the easiest way would be with a stud gun. Then clean it up and paint it. I'd think with a ECM on egay, you'd get the most out of it. I'd guess between $400 and $500. Pipe alone cleaned up and painted on egay I'd guess over $300. | |

| Problem w the ECM is that they're specific to certain yrs and engine sizes, where the pipe will fit any XB. Unless you find someone with that particular bike on ebay, you may lose bidders. If it were me I'd list them seperate... | |

| Well the ecm and pipe are both of an 03, sounds like i may get a better chance at selling them seperately. The ecm is still on the way. Odds are i wont sell the stuff untill after boot camp, but either way ill be sure to post the link up here for you guys to | |

| The price all depends on who is surfing the web at the time of sale. Price will fluctuate so much and some will pick it apart for the dent and others know it doesn't affect the performance and won't care. | |

You know for how old this thread is, I actually do still have both the pipe and ECM haha.
Problem is it's at my parents house back in Illinois. Whenever I get it down to me in TN. I'll prolly go to a body shop to have the dent pulled out then sand it down and paint it black w/ high temp paint or coat it depending on cost. Plans were to put it on eBay so I can get biggest bang for my buck. I'm hoping that it'll cover the price of either an icon variant, yellow plastics for my bolt, a gopro. Or if I was smart just new tires and other little odds and ins.... |

| take it to a body shop, they can probably pull it out (or at least make it look better) with a stud gun | |

| I tryed using a stud gun on mine and the studs would not stick. I ended up filling the dent with allmeatle aluminum filler and spraying it with vht high gloss paint. its been a year and looks like the day I installed it. | |
