Hello im new owner of a 2003 xb9r and i'm running into big problems hope you guys can help. When i'm riding I go to pass and my bike bogs down and the check engine light flashes. It does it at lights to when i'm taking off and idles kind of high at stops. Any suggestions or anyone else with the same problems? I took it to harley and they wanted to put it on a diagnostics machine for 3 hours at 90 an hour! no thanks

Bad gas, check the oil, check spark plugs. What kind of gas do you run? It needs premium. Talk to the previous owner and find out if he sold it to you like that, also ask about any mods he may have performed on the bike. Knowledge is power. Post pics.

May need a TPS reset?

Mine did the same thing right after I got it, did a TPS reset and re-routed my breather hoses and all was well.

Thanks for the input guys after researching a little bit everything points to TPS reset i'm on it tomorrow

Hope it works out. I think a dealer should only charge 1 hour labor, at the most, for a TPS reset Good luck

Most dealers do only charge 1hr labor to do the TPS reset.
