Finally got it to idle by messing around with the idle screw. So it will die if I give it a little throttle, but the RPMs shoot up when I give it a hard twist.

Hmmmm. I tried to start it a day before I made this post and my bike would hardly crank. I put the battery on a charger. Never crossed my mind.
Will any Android phone work? Are there minimum specs?
I'm going to start with the TPS reset. I don't have a laptop to take outside to connect to my bike. Any chance there's a way to do it with an iPhone? I searched for ECMSPY for iPhone and nothing...
Link to that thread?
That was my first assumption. Would the TPS just suddenly go bad?
2004 XB12R w/40K miles. Race ECM. Not sure of the exhaust. Bought it a year ago and ran fine.
Not like that. More like it runs out of gas.
It doesn't die abruptly. Just slowly dies.
So bike starts right up and idles fine for about five seconds, then dies. If I start it and give it throttle, it will throttle up normally for about five seconds, then die. After it dies, I can hear...
Found the culprit. At some point the bike had HIDs and they were wired in to the air box. But didn't bother to secure that block of metal that was bouncing all over the place.

2004 XB12R Something is banging every time I hit a bump. The front isolator was worn out and I replaced it. Headers and muffler aren't broken. I've checked everything and can't find anything loose....
I have another question I just thought of. I'm used to the bulbs having a two wire connection and this uses one wire with the base being the ground. It looked like there was one ground wire running...
Thanks. It had Germany stamped on it. Thought I was going to have to special order some $200 light bulb.
So both headlights blew out and the hi beam indicator light stayed on. I messed around with the wiring looking for a short and found nothing. Finally unplugged the hi beam bulb and the lo beam came...
Almost 40K. Every time I hit a bump it felt like something was loose. The tensioner was slamming in to the bolt head.
I cranked it pretty hard. When I was putting the new one on I had to loosen it up because the engine was too high to line up the bolts. I would do it again if I had too knowing that it doesn't take...
Took me forever to actually find one, but one finally popped up on eBay. Took me about a total of 20 minutes. Couldn't believe how easy it was. I don't have a jack, so I used a crank strap. I...
I'm going to replace mine tomorrow. What size hex socket do the bolts take?
Thanks Rays. I did pull the diode while checking all the fuses. Went out and tried flipping it around, didn't work. Put in a spare fuse and it worked. Then I put the diode back in and everything is...
Relay issue solved. Now a problem with neutral. Used to be able to start in neutral while on the side stand, now I have to pull the clutch while in neutral.
Can I get a link to that?
So I got stranded today. Tail light and oil light came on, but nothing else. Did some searching on my phone before calling a tow truck. Came across a forum post about switching the relays. I swapped...
Bare with me. Newbie to Buell. Made a post not long ago about a squealing noise when accelerating hard. I also feel like something is loose every time I hit a bump. Could all these be related?
