2008 1125R for $4k. What do you think?
Looked at it the other day. 100% Stock, no mods, 2nd owner. Looked it over good and appears no issues... cold start good. Guy is firm at $4k.
$3900
Nice... man I wish I would have been that lucky.
Part of studs are sticking out... may be your lucky day. Mine was sheered flush.. they had to rotate motor. Big expense.
Culprit? 100% that's the culprit.
$4,100.
Need to sell
Been on a few rides including one today in 50 degree weather and she is purring like a kitten. Warm-ups are flawless and without a single hiccup. Also know I put new NGK's in when i had it apart...
Once again, thanks LF for the guidence. Cleaning the IAC seemed to work. Start up has been much smoother, no spitting and stalls, and bike is running good.
Update.
Took her apart down to where I had access to the IAC.
Removed IAC.
Cleaned port w/q-tips and carb cleaner. See picture with crap I removed.
Cleaned IAC unit.
Final clean all with dry...
Wow... thanks LF. Will take this step first and let you know.
Can anyone confirm that this will work on my '08 xb12r?
Getting the erratic idle, then spitting, then stall on warm up. TPS reset not working. After warm up it idles fine. Thinking it is bad...

Right on LF. What a dramatic difference I noticed after the reset. The bike runs smoother at every interval. What I especially noticed was the responsiveness from a 4,000 rpm hard roll-on. Cold...
After having some work done to my '08 XB12R that I bought with 12k miles on it about 6 months ago, I thought I would do a TPS reset for the hell of it. I learned the '08 and '09's could be reset...
Bought my '08 xb12r w/11k miles about 5 months ago. I pulled the cover and the air box cover was chopped, the actuator cable disconnected and the exhaust valve tied open. I don't get it... almost...
Check for oil leaks around top of motor (rocker gaskets).
Check all 4 header exhaust studs to confirm none are broken.
Two things i missed when i bought my 2008 xb12r with 11k miles. $1k in...
Ok. I took a closer look and found a sheared bolt where the header connects to the motor. Sent photo to local shop and they said they think they can remove it without having to remove the head. ...
You and a few others deserve one too!
Great. Thanks again LF. We all need to pitch in and send you a check for all you do on here.
Excellent, thank you. Also, just noticed I only have 1 rear strap. Guess I need to order another one of those too. I assume they just "butt" up next to each other. Can I put the 2nd rear strap...
Have #34, front muffler strap? Been a while but thought I'd try.
Anybody know "xlr8n_xb"?
Looks like he has (had) one.
