I plan on pulling off the front fender and removing the plastidip, that was applied prior to my ownership, in the next few days. It will be going to gloss black.

Haha. I posted it on the Facebook site and it sold in less than 15 minutes. Maybe I should have asked for more.
Anyways....the promised pictures. I got the spoils mounted and tested out. My...
I feel like quite the moron now. I had the airbox off cutting it up some last week and didn't notice until I installed the filter today that I already have a friggin K&N. I had to remove the airbox...
Going to grab some air filter oil and install the K&N tomorrow. I've been having intermittent connection issues with my Buelltooth (they shipped a new one today). I luckily was able to get it to...
Got my new mirrors in and feel they are a huge improvement. Excuse the dirtiness. I've also got my lower fairing drying. I painted it gloss black on the sides and satin black on the front/middle...
I forgot to mention my spools came in as well. I also ordered a good used K&N filter. It was half the price of a new one and they don't really wear out, so I thought it was a good move.
I got my Buelltooth in today and read my ECM id to send in a tune request. I'm painting my flyscreen now and my muffler should be here in the next hour.
I have an. XB9sx. The PO put a yellow coil shock on the back and looks to have slid the forks through the trees to level it. I would love to trade the forks for yours. I'm in southern KY.
Wow. Wrong thread. Sorry for old thread bump.

Most guys I've seen drill a new hole in the side of the swingarm with no issues. That's also my plan.

So, I guess I'm making this my unofficial project thread. I wrapped up the primary repair and got my new clutch cable installed today. I also cut up the stock exhaust yesterday, purely for the mid...
I did the breather reroute and Swiss-cheesed the air box some this evening. My new pegs came in and I got them put on. Also mounted my air box cover back up. I was going to do the white wire mod,...
Was a big pain in the butt finding OEM tank decals, so I just had some made up at a local tint/decal shop. Pulled the old ones off and painted the air box cover today. Would like to have painted the...
Well really friggin aggravated now. The new shift rod was scheduled to come in today. It didn't arrive and when I checked the tracking code it was stuck in Colorado somewhere. I went ahead and...
The rod is supposed to be here in a few hours so I went ahead and broke it down. Was relieved to see this.

Really glad to have your reassurance on that. I knew it was going to have to be opened up no matter what so I went ahead and ordered all the primary related gaskets and seals (along with a few...
Looking now if the stop didn't stop the upper pawl the spring would not have tension (as it possibly appears in the picture). If that's the case I should be able to use some needlenose pliers and...
I got off work a bit early and pulled the primary cover. I don't see anything that looks really out of place to me. The spring on the upper pawl looks slightly shorter than lower one, but I can't...
Happened upon this. I believe the one you saw?7221
Can you send a picture of the damage to the air box cover and fly screen? Also do you have the rear pegs and brackets?
Whew, this guy was Blake. I was worried my inspection skills were slipping.
Awesome. I'm a visual guy, so those pictures are a great help. I will probably pull the primary cover Tuesday. It's a shame the bike just got all new fluids, but atleast it's just a quart. If it's...
