One more of many questions! how do you do the breather reroute? where can you find the parts if they are any?
Thanks.
I have a 08scg and thinhk the manual said to use 50w in 70 degrees and up but I can't find any. And I didn't want to go to the HD dealership to get anything cause its usauly double the price. Also are there anyother oil filters that fit it besides HD's?
Thanks.

Use the search function and it will show dozens of oil and breather reroute post. For oil use a multi weight like 20w-50 not straight 50.
I run Amsoil (mainly because my brother is a dealer) 20W50 specifically designed for v-twins, and a wix filter which you can pick up at any auto parts store usually without an issue.
there is a great writeup for the breather mod here
royal purple 20/50 max cycle with napa 1394 filter I have never used an oil that made such a performance in any of my bikes! both holes.
I use Amsoil, but others have used Mobil 1, Royal Purple even diesel oil because of its additive package being top shelf. A 20-50w synthetic from any of these companies will do fine.
As for filters here is the list I use:
Brand Model
AC Delco UPF1233
Amsoil SDF10
Bosch 3311
Car Quest 85394
Champion C138
Fram PH4967
HD 63806-004
K&N HP-1003
Mighty M4477
Mobile1 M4477
Motorcraft FL836
Napa 1394
Penzoil PZ39
Purolator L14476
STP S4967
Valvoline VO40
Walmart/Super Tech ST4967
WIX 51394
Union Sangyo(OEM TOYOTA) C-170
After reading up on material used, spring rates for the valves and other technical data I found that for the money the Walmart/Super Tech ST4967 was the best for me to use. It uses a good amount, not the most in the bunch, of the latest filtering medium, capturing much more fine particals. It has the spring rate for the valve that complies with motorcycle engines and it is by far one of the cheapest to purchase. I think under $4.00 last time I bought.
The above list will work, but I think that it can also be personal choice. Just make sure that the filter is designed for your bike. They all perform a little differently than the next one but all should work to filter your oil.
Good luck,
BR
mobil 1 filter is M1-103
Thanks strmvt,
