    Any short cuts I should know about? I have the manual but are there any short cuts, how much brake fluid may I lose, etc?

    fairly easy, u'll lose about a teaspoon of fluid, if u take off the heel guard, dont forget to loctite the bolts, mine vibrated out after 3 months, doin 60mph on a semi-wet road, behind braking cars, ended up 2 feet from a troopers driver door doin about 40. :D

    pump the brakes too, so'll they'll set before u ride it

    Not to hijack this thread, but I have a question regarding the rear brake switch too. My brake light only comes on if I hit the brake pedal pretty hard. Is it adjustable so it comes on with less force, or does this indicate the switch is screwed. Thanks!

    ^^ bleed you rear brake and make sure the resivoir is full. Mind did the same and the sensor is pressure sensitive and doing that fixed it.

    I have the same problem, my fluid is full and the brakes work fine. Do you still think bleeding the brakes will solve the problem? How hard at they to bleed? Never done it on the Buell.

    1 problem i ran into was the caliper piston, it ended up sticking and had to pop it out with a air hose & coat it with brake fluid so it would retract;

    purging is semi-eazy; u end up using about a 1/4 of the brake fluid bottle

    dont want air bubbles in there either; i used a small/clear plastic tube & a fluid needle from a printer ink jet refiller :D

    Thank you. It looks like I put saddlebag strap right under the rear brake switch wire and captured it and it pulled it hard and damaged the housing. So be careful using saddlebags.
