has a fuel pump code for 4 thousand miles now found bad wire at fuel pump 2 thousand ago still runs just wondered if it would reset itself or if i had to reset it
no it wont reset if the problem is still there and causing the light to turn on. you can turn clear the trouble codes with ecmspy .but if the problem is still there the light and trouble code will just come back on.
if the check engine light is on then a problem is present, and a trouble code is currently happening causing the check engine light to come on!!!
read the service manual on how to trouble shoot and fix your problem and then ecmpy guide version 1 and ecmspy software and cable to check for trouble codes and how to clear them.
ecm spy does not read or reset trouble codes for 2008 and up

there is a method to touch the pins together, but I'm not sure what it is at the moment or if it works on an 08
I've heard of it. But cannot find where to do that or if it will work on my 09
Might still work on the '08+ as the same Deutch connector is used for all XB.
