Thread: Back end loose...

    I get up to about 65-70ish and the back end feels very loose. Also seems to be loose it tight turns... back end got out a little on my today.

    Any ideas?

    Have you checked the air pressure in the tire? Next would be wheel bearings and then swing arm play.

    Tire pressure is good, how can I check the bearings and play in the swing arm?

    suspension set up to you? Were you carrying a passenger or a ton of extra gear?

    I got the bike 2 weeks ago from a guy with a very similar build and height.. It was just me with no gear, besides my helmet :)

    Whats the rubber like?

    Old (have you check the tread wear indicators?) When my tires were worn, and I didn't let the rubber warm up, They felt a little waxy and my rear would fishtail a little bit on a curve.

    New (Have you scrubbed them in yet?) I haven't experienced much squirming while I am scrubbing in the new pilot road 2's but they said I might.

    While the bike is parked shake tire side to side if there is play then you have a shot bearing(s)
