Thread: my story & special thanks to...

  1. #1
Hey guys just wanted to give a shout out to a few companies for making my bike what it is and also giving me the confidence to put my bike up. Quick history. Bought my cityx and it was in a R setup.

Found a good forum user to help me get it back to S front.. w/ matching windscreen

This is where the thanks come in..
Colby (u know who u are) - thanks for the help with the front
    Pink gorilla - ultralows
    Ebayseller - 12x triple tree

Was out riding one day and F...ront head gasket went. I putmymechanic hat on and found many things wrong
    Including this.

Thanks Destination Harley, WA - parts and support
So after that ordeal was done. Dropping motor to raising motor. I was riding again. And needed more.
Seen all these fancy seats but didnt want to pay that much... so I did my own...

Didnt come out terrible but not the best either.
Thanks to my wife - stealing her electric carving knife, getting caught red-handed using it, and pitching 2c at me to make it better.

So I still needed more so I got diesel moto stuffs

    Before

    After

Thank you dieselmoto - paying close to 3bills and getting dirty threadwork and misaligned holes. Free 7 day shipping too!

    And im still going strong.

    -love for the sport
[what do you guys and gals think. Am I doing this right?]

    You're welcome

I love your freaking seat, if you ever decide to offer a service to make one like it let me know.

Looks great man! Good work on the seat!

    Next stop... www.5-0dro.com ;)

PS - Your right fork (top part) is spun 180 out. I can see the vinyl pads that the lines are supposed to sit against on the outside. You might want to spin it back or get some new clear vinyl pieces to protect your forks from the lines digging into them. I've seen it happen...

    Beautiful looking bike, man!

As Wolfo said....if you ever get into making custom seats, I think you could make a killing on this forum. Looks awesome!

@fishgutz -just made a video this morning on my way to work and will get that up soon.

Thanks guys for all the compliments and 5-0 ive already been looking at you and your in my bucket.

As for the seat its not perfect but I do enjoy it. I just need to work on my stitch work before I offer a service. The only complaint I have is my bawls get crushed since the angle is so steep. But it looks sick when its parked...

    Thanks again
