I installed this tire at about 3000 miles, so now it actually has more than 17700 miles, and still looks like new. So probably this tire is capable to last more than 40000-50000 miles. Good choice if you don't like to change tires.

Run Conti's on the XB12R when it is warm and dry, trying something else once the roads get a little wet and cold.

Anyone have some insight on Road vs Sport tires? I am due for a new tire and I am not sure which to go for.
Grego, thats a question you have to answer yourself man. When you ride is half your ass cheek hanging off the seat, knee three inches from the gound, helmet right next to your tank?????? If so you need a hypersport tire like the q3+, rs10, pp3, etc. If you dont ride like that then just buy the conti's. Smokin deal, Carlos loves them.
