    '03 XB9S - Oil Question

What size are the threads for the vent, supply and return connections on the bottom of the swingarm?

    I'm thinking they're 4/6/8 AN (Vent/Return/Supply).

Figured out they're not AN fittings. AN fittings are 37º flare but these are 45º double flare. The fittings on the swingarm are 7/16-24 IFF, 5/8-18 IFF and 1/2-20 IFF (vent, supply, return).

I figured someone had to know and was just being a dick and not posting the info, so I didn't wanna be that dick. I'm an ass...just not that ass.

So the engine side is a little different. The engine side has the following fittings: 7/16-24 IFF and two 5/8-18 SAE male (vent, supply, return). The return line is larger on the engine side for some reason.

Note the sizes and fittings I've listed are on the engine and swingarm. For new/custom lines, you need to make sure the lines have the corresponding fe/male version of what I've listed.

You cannot connect SAE lines to AN/JIC fittings or visa versa. The 45º lines (SAE) won't seal to the 37º fittings (AN/JIC) and conversely the collar won't allow the 37º lines (AN/JIC) to flare further to match the 45º fittings (SAE).
