    Cam Position Sensor

    Anyone know where it is possible to get a cam position sensor for a 2000 X1? Popped the cover open on mine and it seems that may be what the problem is...

    Opened it up and all the soft gel that keeps it covered has melted off. Not sure if that is an indication, but seems likely.

    It's a common Sportster part, any mc parts or HD dealer.

    mine melted as well...

    You can get it from any HD dealer, however make sure you get the correct part number... they all look the same but the plugs are different on some. I got the wrong one first time around.
