    Got new fork tube quote.

So got a quote to fix my fork tube seals for$320 vs Harley Davidson $550. Sounds better to me? Any opinions or roll with it! This is with forks being taken off by them.....

Boy I'd bet it could be done in your garage for a whole lot less.

I highly recommend trying to just clean the seals first with a seal mate before assuming the seals are bad.

I rebuilt them with the same seals and haven't had an issue in 2000 miles. I bought the seal mate also but since I lost so much oil I wanted to tear them down and see. I think the seal mate would have fixed the issue without the tear down but now I know and made a coat hanger dipstick.

FYI I think I paid $180-$200 to have them rebuilt (new oil and seals/polished stanchions) off the bike and brought in though.

Here is my thread about the seal leak, the last couple of posts may be of use. http://www.buellxb.com/forum/showthr...ed-input/page2

    EDIT:
Also better check that your brake pads didn't get contaminated with oil.

When using the seal mate you need to first pull down the dust seal from the tube then run it around the oil seal, wipe stanchions and cycle the fork, try a few times to clean and cycle them to stop the leak. You will want to get oil back in there to cover what was lost or your tire will get destroyed from the loss of compression/rebound dampening.
