we always put graphite in on the wheels and made hubs to hold it in, always seemed to help them spin better. I believe they still race my car as the defending champion from almost 20 years ago.

sorry, havnt been on lately.... that purple paint looks fantastic... i didnt feel like going all out on paint, haha, so these were just rattle canned.

My daughters girl scouts did the powder puff derby, so we used the same design but made a vert.

Both did very well. Son made it to finals for his troop and ended up 3rd place overall. My daughters was weird the way they did it... but there were freaking 90 cars running. All the cars she raced against she won... but that didnt place her at all. Oh well, we had fun building them !! and I learned a lot for next year as this was the first time we have done this.

Both cars fully assembled only weighted 3 oz .... so We ran 2 oz of tungsten puddy in the pockets machined around the rear axle.

One by one, my dad and I build a giant pile of empty beer cans together. Does that count? Haha?
