    xb12x fuel injectors

    Battling with miserable bike.
How do I clean injectors at home without special tools?

I recommend a service manual. This piece of information in irreplaceable and should be the first thing you go to when a problem arises. Think of it as your Buell scripture.

You can take out the injectors from the top, clean by soaking in seafoam for a day no specials tools need 1/4 inch ratchet with a Phillips tip in the socket make sure you take off O rings before soaking they will swell. Then when I reinstall I use allen heads.

    This is priceless:

Having it run with the cleaner going through cleans the ball and pintle MUCH more effectively than a soak could do.

Ahem, Ghetto alert.... Someone who looks just like me rigged a system using an aerosol can of cleaner and activated the injector with a pulse modulator and a 9V battery. Worked amazingly well on injectors that were written off from the molasses that was in them and had been cleaned several times before.

Ha HAHA! I'm suing!!! But picture the leads, 9v battery, and terminal torn out of an old (free) HF DVOM, the PWM from an old DEI alarm module, the aerosol tube shoved in gradually increasing hose sizes until it fit over the o-ring. all the wires just twisted together

    Total cost? 0...= Win!

And, ahem... it's a GREAT unit, ask around

They are about the same price as the cleaner $130. then you have the cleaner for your other Buells and buell brothers.

That would be a great tool to have on a community loan system. Pretty universal too, I could have used it on the boat last month!IMG_2639.jpg
