Alright this is my first time trying a big DIY thread so cut me a little slack fella's ;)
I got the sliders from a fellow Bueller (thanks redrider!) who picked them up at harbor freight and showed me how to make them fit our bikes. It's a relatively cheap way to get some nice axle sliders on your Buell! I picked up all the parts i needed at my local hardware store.

Parts you will need: 2, 3/8, 3inch long allen bolts for the back, 2, 1/4, 3inch long wedge style allen bolts for the front, 2 3/8 turn buckles for the back, 2 1/4 turn buckles for the back, 1, 3/8 reverse threaded bolt for the back and 1, 1/4 reverse threaded bolt for the front and JB weld.

    Back:

    Front:

The steps are the same for the front and back sliders.

Step 1: Cut the head off the reverse thread bolt so you can connect the turn buckles together:

Step 2: Put one axle slider on and adjust the length between the turn buckles so you can stick it through the axle and be able to reach the bolt in the slider on the other side of the axle.

Step 3: Now that you have the right length, apply the JB weld on the reverse thread bolt holding the turnbuckles together:

Step 3: Apply the JB weld to one of the axle slider bolts:

Step 4: Put it through the axle and screw in the other axle slider on the otherside:

JB-Weld is fun stuff. Stick a quarter to the sidewalk with it for a good chuckle.

Think I want to try this with some skateboard wheels. Maybe use a long chunk of all-thread instead.
