Got a new bike and need some help

So to start i am new to the whole buell/harley world. I grew up around it but never got into them. Always liked sport bikes more. But i recently got a 2002 buell x1 lightning and it has issues as buells are known to have. So what oils do these bike like? What oil do you run in the primary. I am just trying to learn more about these bikes.

I'm a cheap **** and use Rotella in both my race bikes and both my Buells. I beat the living daylights outta my race bikes and have NEVER had a problem w Rotella.......Editing post, sorry I was just up from a nap yesterday. (Old guy nap) I DO NOT USE ROTELLA in my Buells, I do use it in my liquid cooled jap twin track machines. I do use 20-50 in my air cooled Buells. Sorry, now I need another nap.

You will get differing opinions... but I don't see the need for super $$ oil in these bikes.

I DO see the need for a V-twin specific 20-50 (or higher with high ambient temps). The trick is to get an oil with the high shear strength the V-twins need, other than that 99% of all new oils do the job, sometimes too well (but thats another oil thread discussion).
