Will H4 LED bulbs work?

Found a home for the H4's...in the Kia Rio..lol. Darn bright..put the H7's in the Buell..wow-big difference from stock. Ordered another set of H7's for the VFR. It takes 2 H4's and 2 H7's..crazy.

Did you have to mod your headlight housing? Those look a lot fatter than the stockers.

The top looks to be stock, the bottom silver part sticks out, so you'll have to cut the rubber cover but they'll clear everything else.

Correct, you can't use the rubber piece but don't need it because the vents need to be exposed for cooling.

OK..follow up to the H7's. While driving around this evening I noticed that my high beam and high beam (blue light on dash) went out all of a sudden. Did the headlight mod as well several days ago. What happened? Bulb out..switch go..fuse?

I have not but I think these fan type units are a stop gap technology, if you believe their ratings they will stay powered on for about 3.5 years continuous but I doubt fans will survive mud and water for that long. I figure if they need replacement in 3~5 years of normal riding that by then they will be all fanless and half the size.

I would check the fuse because I believe the dash light is wired before the headlights. So, if the bulbs were bad I would imagine the dashlight would still work. I also think would eliminate the relay because that is also not related to the function of the dashlight. Double check your work. You may have a short. I recently added led bulbs with angle and devil eyes, and after moving around existing wires I caused one of my hot wires to fault. I just used a tester and traced it back to the connector coming from my handlebar switch. I simply tapped into the good lead, bypassed the connector, and ran it straight to the headlight.

Was the fuse... Interesting that even with the blown light fuse, the low beams continue to work. Now the middle wedge light is back as well...only in low beam mode as before.
