    Backpacks are not recommended on a motorcycle because of what they could do to you in an accident. Also, if you tie anything on the seat behind you, make certain that it cannot slip around and get between the fender and tire where it will be driven forward, possibly jamming the wheel which will almost certainly take you down.

    Mosquito, I agree with you on the backpacks being a possible hazard if you go down. I purposely back mine so nothing will (hopefully) cause further injury. I just need a tailbag...something would be hard pressed to get between my tire and plastic (fender?) Under the tail, only about a 1/4" gap between plastic and rubber. Lol. Still don't want to risk it though.
