It may be your clutch safety switch. Mine just went out on my 09 Ulysses. Cheap and easy fix.

Give the group a little more info on your bike.
I think Buell's only came equipped with the kickstand switch from 2003 to 2005. Not quite sure, but mine is an 07 and doesn't have one.
I would go with the clutch switch.
Make sure it's plugged in, check the connection, check the wiring for chaffing and all that jazz.

2005 xb12s, I've owned it for 3 years now and its been this way since the day I got it. Haven't had a chance to check into any wiring yet.
Anyone know how much the clutch safety switch should be? I found 1 on eBay for $60 seems pricey.
Contact Lance at St. Paul HD. I imagine he can do much better than that.
I ordered mine from Lance and it was I believe $19.00 (that may have included shipping).
