Allright. Yesterday I had found my Motogadget M-Lock key fob does to work. I shacked the key fob and noticed strange sound inside the key fob like sand. I cracked the key fob and found that the internal components are unglued and one wire is broken. So I have fixed the wire soldering it back to the chip but the key fob housing had been destroyed. So I decided to make new key fob.
Here are the internal component of the key fob. You have to sand the housing down carefully to reach the components
I measured the sizes of the components and created CAD model for the new key fob housing. I decided to use 4.5 mm thick and 3 mm thick ABS plastic sheets to make the housing and some 1.5 mm thick foam to bed the electrical components inside the key fob. I created a few options and picked the best.
Then I created 2D drawing for laser cutting machine
Then I cut some samples
Then I took appropriate samples and sanded them to prepare surfaces for gluing
I used superglue to glue the bottom plate
Then put piece of foam inside
Then put the electric components above the foam
Then put small piece of soft foam in the middle to prevent moving the internal components
Then put another piece of foam on the top sandwiching the internal components
Then glued the top cover

I'm jealous of your fun project ability! That looks great
Nicely done, now pardon an old timer but, since there are no doors on a bike, at least not on mine, What does it do ? Or is it just a really cool key chain that works on your car ?
Thank you for asking so I didn't have to...
What sort of gimmick is this?
With the others, I dont see how this could help the bike at all.
Really! All that for a key fob? What ever!
It is the 'Ignition key" for the Moto-gadget dash/ignition/security system. Wave the sensor near the dash a Voila!
