well after reviewing a few vids on youtube i realized there is no bushing on the right side...still dont understand why it is held in place and not moving!!!!
Hi Buell Friends
I am new to this forum and need answe to a stupid question from me. I had to change the fuell pump on my 08 xb12x. To do so a had to remove the rear wheel...well 2 weeks ago and now while remonting the wheel and axle ther seem to be a gap between the swingarm and the wheel bearing on the right side. Did i drop a bushing while dismounting and not see it rolling on the floor. 'cause what keeps the wheel from moving from side to side if it is not lock in place on both sides.
Thank you

you need to check the wheel closely. there are no external spacers or seals on the factory 2 bearing wheel which is stock for your 2008. someone may have changed it to a three bearing wheel assembly. if that's the case it will have the following:
1-one bearing on rotor side
2-two bearings on pulley side
3-spacer and grease seal on rotor side.5820_20100910124152_L.jpg
No this a 2 bearings set up and i just change them...but it is strange that there is no bushing. i am 45 years in motorbike of any sort and it is the first time a see that set up!!!!
Sorry eveybody i just realised this evening while riding that it is in fact the axle itself that act as a stopper and bushing on the right side. Thank you anyway.
myself and my entire family are delighted that you resolved this most perplexing problem.
