Hey everyone, been around for a while first time posting. Just picked up a 2008 XB12XT (second Buell, had an '04 S years ago that I loved, sadly sold but now I'm back). I'm a shorter guy (5'6" w/ 29" inseam) so the XT has me tip-toeing around at a stop. I'm interested in lowering the bike a little and it seems the early (06-07?) XB12SS (lightning long) suspension should be a pretty direct swap.

Anyone out there close to MN looking to do a swap? My bike has 18k miles and from what I can tell everything is in fine shape.

Not concerned about lowering the contact points of the bike - I have a track bike for that sort of fun, but I do intend to keep the front/rear symmetrical as to keep the handling stable. Anyone have any experience with using the SS shock and just raising the forks in the clamps to level it out, seems like quite a few have gone that route?
