put a heat resistant coating on it and check to see if it has rubbed through every now and then. the updated ones came with a thicker coating to help prevent the wires from rubbing through

    Yes that is the ETS

brillian job on that socket. you should rent it out to board members to recoup your cost.

I actually purchased the socket from ASB and the one he made is better. The cuts they made in it fray off the protective layer on the outside it's so sharp.

    Anyone want it?

    ^I'll take it if it's free :)

If you need it, I'll send it to you at ship cost. Can't be more than a few bux. PM me your info.

An afterthought, I should have electrical taped the cuts so as to not mess up the cable.....

Hi Mike! Just take a die-grinder (or Dremmel), and knock off the sharp edges...don't trash it or give it away.

I'm sharing it with the promise that you'll pass it on to the next Bueller that needs it.

I just PM'd you back. I don't need it immediately, I was going to take it because I know I'll be needing it at some point(my wire is frayed as well, but hasn't caused an issue that I know of yet). If other's need it right away pass it on to them.
