Roccodart440: Mirror and Turn Signal Options

Roccodart440: MotoGuzzi uses the same style turn signals as the lightnings. Some are the same and some are different variations, but where they meet the bike they are the same.

Aprillia and MotoGuzzi use the same style mirror mount as the lightning.

I am looking to get rid of the mickey mouse mirrors and shorten up the turn signals. Aprillia has some nice mirrors on their factory bikes and they are about 30$ per mirror.

It seems after looking at the shop view of the front turn signals you can take the extention out of them and they become the same length as the rear ones. This is better than nothing. After market ones all seem to be a different shape where they meet the bike.

Darkhorse: Getting ready to mod my new Buell

Darkhorse: Thanks for the input guys,

LeFox,
I will do some more research on the open airbox conversion I am sure there is plenty of info on this forum about it somewhere.
Think I may do the hose-reroute mod this weekend if I get time.
I live in Virginia, think I will search around for a repuatbale dyno-tuner. That way I can keep my stock ECM and just have the proper map written into it once I get the parts put on.

GatorBuell,
THanks for the tip, I been needing to pick up the manual for sure. That would be cool if reseting the TPS didn't require software and cable.
From what I have read here in the forum, the torque specs in the manual are highly suspect? I read something about a whole bunch of people stripping the oil plug threads out torqueing to manual spec.....

I've ridden a Harley for a long time, and thought the Buells looked like fun. Even stock this bike is a front wheel lifting beast, and sticks like glue in the turns. I grin every time I start it up.

Thanks again for the input.
