I read on youtube that their is a problem with the cam chain tensioner on 1125cr's built 04/11/2008 - 09/11/2008. True or False?

The reason i'm asking is the bike i'm going to look at was built in Sep. 2008. It's a 2009 1125cr with 900 miles a jardine RT5 and a high bar kit for 6500$. Please let me know, i don't want to be on the highway and have the back wheel sieze up on me.

here's the vid i saw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvAIKAj2bzk

True..

Just call a dealer (preferably the place the owner delt with) with the VIN, they should be able to tell you the history of the bike...this includes all updates.

Mike

P.s. - Good price if it all works out. But note, it's nearly the same as the dealers were getting at the end of Buell.

Well the cheapest new one i could find was for 7500$, and the dealer won't budge on price. So was there a recall because of this? If so, the dealer should take care of it..... right?

any recall is completed by the dealer before/after the sell of the m/c,,,until all are completed

So there was a recall or there wasn't a recall?

true. there is a recall for those models with those dates. seems like others were affected too.
