Hello all. My name is Janne and I come from the land of 10 000 lakes, home of Santa Claus and sauna-crazed people a.k.a. Finland. I’m 36, a husband of one wife and a father of two kids.
I started riding (after 20 years of dreaming about it) 4 years ago, when I purchased my first motorcycle, an HD Sportster. I had lusted over Buell XBs since they came on the market, and finally took the plunge and got me a 2007 XB12S last autumn, five days after our second child was born :-)

I had promised my wife that the Buell would be a bike which doesn’t need any mods, but you know how things are. So... the mods list during the winter included some necessary things style and functionality –wise:
- Zero Gravity extended wind shield (low installation, a tad shortened and reshaped)
- 1” risers
- CRG short levers
- bar-end mirrors
- XB Low seat
- short tail (repainted by me)
- Kellerman mini blinkers
- Pegasus customizing right-side air scoop
- Ventura L-brackets and sport rack (for added security for our 7 year old girl when riding with me + for added capacity on longer trip during this summer, not yet installed though)

The favorite mod so far…? Tough call, but I have to say the CRG levers. I absolutely love them!
I have been lurking over the forum for a quite long time already, but decided to wait for the first post when I get the bike into use after the winter.

Thanks for a great forum, and many valuable tips & tricks!

Ride safe,
Janne

P.S. Here is a pic from last Sunday, after the first-ever motorcycle ride of our girl :-)

If im not mistaken. They have the MOST RIDICULOUS DRIVING TEST which includes slaloms and things like that. Its no wonder they have such awesome rally drivers.

Thanks for the compliments and friendly welcomes! Sure, I'm a Finn by birth :-) But I do most of my work related documents in English.

Yes, there must be something special behind our world renowned reputation as great drivers. One reason is that we used to have quite crappy roads. Lot's of gravel etc. and, until the 70's, no speed limits :-) The other must be that in countyside we have this thing called "peltoautot". That something like "field cars", and means that youngsters start to drive at very early age with those old crappy (usually not registered nor road legal) cars. So they practise by driving for fun on those gravel roads and fields in the backwoods.

I will post better pics of my ride next week!
