Couldn't help posting this, but I came across a pic of my Ducati Monster 750. Not sure why I always find yellow bikes, but I really loved that Duc. Def love the Buell more tho.

Thanks, not quite as impressive as yours Xtreme, but it is amazing what it looks like just changing the color scheme. [up] there are a couple other changes in there that werent just colors, but mostly just color. had the aftermarket billet shift/ break pedals, 1" drop pegs, bar ends, tech spec grip pads, black belt pulley, etc.. nothing as in-depth as what you did on yours though.
starting off with my 1125R though.

I was looking at them before I found the Buell. The only drawback was I couldn't modify it much at all. Doesn't it have a Suzuki motor or something like that?

04-21-2010, 07:35 PM
Yeah it is a suzuki sv650 engine. Revs to almost 12k rpms. There are a few things out there for them now. I have chopped the back fender off and repainted it. And a bunch of little things.

Looks great pez. What did you do to get the little dip out of your seat? I bought a used seat like that but it was missing the strap and it still has that indent in the seat where it used to be. Did you have to uncover the seat and fill it in with something?
anyway, while I'm here, old bike....

@ RudiRulez
2-stroke road bike? what did you do if you needed more fuel?
RudiRulez
01-15-2011, 03:06 PM
It has seperate tanks for oil and petrol nd uses an oil pump to mix them itself.
Don't you lot have 2 strokes on the road over in the US?, over here in the UK they're very popular with the younger riders because we are limited on a provisional liscence to 50cc at 16 and 125cc at 17 and obviously a 2stroke 125 has more power than a 4 stroke 125, so pretty much nobody buys a 4 stroke untill they have theyre full liscence and can get something bigger.
boreas
01-16-2011, 09:06 AM
In Canada (ont) to take your test you have to be on a + 250cc bike! And there is no restrictions on the ccs
when you start out. The only catch is insurance, its done by ccs the more you have the more you pay!I never see 2 stroke bikes on the street only in the dirt!!
upthemaiden
01-16-2011, 10:39 AM
There are some older ones around in the US, but they don't meet current emissions standards, so they don't import any street legal 2 strokes anymore.
RudiRulez
01-16-2011, 11:21 AM
ahh i see, thats too bad[down], over here bikes dont really have any emmisions standards(not that i know of anyway), cars have alot of emmisions to pass though.
Boreas, yeh our insurance is like that too, im 18 with a 1 litre bike i almost died when i got my first quote, luckily i worked hard in school and got myself a good job haha:D
