Hi fellow tubies, con anyone tell me if a m2 has a speed restrictor, i was drag racing a triumph speed triple the other day was clocking 225klms aproaching 5000rpm s and the bike lost power then came good at 4500rpms . i wasnt happy i had the bastard with 1500 rpms to go !!!!!!!!

What you hit is your Rev Limiter! It protects you from over reving, and blowing your engine! These bikes do have alot of torque but they are a air cooled Pushrod engine that does not agree with high revs!

The rev limit on the M2 is much higher than 5000 RPM - it is more like 6800RPM or thereabouts...
If you were doing 225km/hr (~140mph) in fifth gear, you probably did hit the rev limit so your tach is not working properly showing 5000RPM.
