It's unlikely you are running lean across the whole fuel map.

08+ ECMs come from the factory incredibly rich (and I do mean incredibly). The race ECM might solve your problems, though that is debatable. Your best bet is to drop some cash on an LC-1 and datalog with a WB O2.

Maybe your rite im assuming its runnin lean from info i read on this forum.. i read that the filter and pipe would cause a lean condition so thats what i asummed.. I will check plugs tomorw.. What is LC-1, and where do i get wideband o2 sensor?? Thanx for info..

An LC-1 is a wideband O2 controller. You install it between the ECM and a WB O2. It allows you to datalog with much finer resolution. It also allows you to turn the WB information into NB data so the ECM can make sense of it.

I have an 09 XB12R and with my open airbox, K&N, and DIY muffler I was running very lean. I am currently running about 11% richer then stock tuning for 13.5 AFR with my wideband. About 10% richer at idle, 12% at midrange, and 8-9% at WOT. I am fine tuning it daily so those are just approximations.

Just goes to show environment plays a big part in tuning your bike.

I'm running leaner in almost all the cells in my maps.
