XB12s racekit and ECM questions

I have 04 xb12s with factory racekit and breather re- route. I have ecmspy and cable and have done megalogging and mapsetting but I got my hands on newer 08 race maps and flashed them to ECM. I felt much more torque but bike overheats more easily and after while riding idle raises to about 2k rpm. So it goes wandering up. I am not sure but it's like the engige sounds bit "dry" also. The map was for BUEG231 and i did straight flash, not copying. Reseted TPS.

Any ideas?

ps. with own maps I could get decel popping away but lost nicely power. Noticed after I plugged 08 racemap.

hey i'm new to here and to the buell. I just bought a 08 xb12scg and it has 1600 miles on it with a special ops muffler. what can a guy do to remap the ecm or put another on to get the max out of bike. I'm ordering a K&N filter and other than that its stock besides bar end mirriors and gel seat. Thanks for the help in advanced.

I have a 2009 XB12ss with Special OPS, K&N, breather re-route, and EBR race ECM. I had to send the ECM back to them because the bike wasn't running good but they reprogrammed is for their "Drummer" settings and the bike is running the best it ever has. Absolutely no backfiring or popping, I couldn’t be happier.

Could you tell a huge difference with the EBR ECM compared to stock?? Thanks

Hey rahl, I have never heard of people with someone with earlier xb's (04-07) mapping over a latest xb (08-'10) map. Try mapping over a '07 race map and see if it runs better.

For a better answer, theoctopus is pretty experience with tuning/mapping the bikes.

Ah my bad, it was 07 race map but when i compared the data, it showed no difference. I would be great if someone could provide "refined" map for xb12 factory racekit bike.
