Same problem iam gunna tighten my clutch cable a lil bit and see what that does

Lightly pre-load the shifting mechanism just before clutching.
Adjust lever position for easy movement at shifter.

XBs & Tubers have Sportster derived drive-train. It includes lots of "flywheel", spinning mass, compared to modern designs.
Heavy flywheel affect = shifts with heavy clunks.
Light flywheel affect = shifts with light clicks.
