Hey all-
I have a Buell Race muffler for an XB that I want to sell. I was going to put it on my bike after the break-in, but I scored a new Drummer instead.
I'd really like to get $375 plus shipping, which I figure to be around $25 to the lower 48. If you're interested let me know. I'll take PayPal and can ship the day I receive payment. I'm in central CA if you want to pick it up.
Thanks

I don't want to sound bad here but you are asking $400 for a pipe when you can buy new Jardine pipes for under $300. I am sorry but for a used pipe you are going to have to go $250 or under to sell it.

He's probably not too far out of line, here's a used pipe that just sold on Ebay for $382.00 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=200189303384&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=010 A new one just sold for $702 yesterday.

Yeah, I would have to agree with glider, considering they are not made anymore.

I guess I am just lucky that my bike came with the Buell Race Muffler on it when I bought it last month. But if it didn't have it on there I would go Jardine because 1 they look better and 2 they actually do perform better too not by much but they do perform better.

not to start anything, but you are wrong here.
the buell race-muffler will outperform the jardine easy...especially at low rpm.

the jardine does look & sound better, though.

Well according to the muffler comparison on americansportbike.com the Jardine did perform better than the Buell Muffler. That is all I was going by was what the dyno chart said. The only thing I like better about the look of the Buell muffler is the dual tip exit it has. I wish more aftermarket pipes would have the dual tip exit like that.

If the factory race muffler is only marginaly better than an aftermarket part at best why the high demand?

I have no idea why there is such a high demand for it. Every other aftermarket pipe produces a better sound too. I mean I like the pipe for sure but I know a Jardine would look and sound much better.

That was almost a year ago and they haven't been made in two years or so. It's probably long gone.

There is a ceramic coated race exhaust on ebay right now, its going to end today and i think the current bid is like $550. It looks really nice condition tho.
