I know this is a long shot but i'm looking to trade my 08' 12Scg for an 08' 12S. I bought it while I was overseas and I picked it up in the states. I never saw a Buell until then, just through net and brochures. It looked small but the dealer said they're all the same. It really didn't feel that small. Well, after riding it for awhile and reading that for a 6'1" guy it's a small bike. The bike is stock. I removed the belt guard, reflectors on forks, passenger pegs and some other stickers. Before I started doing some real mods I thought I better get the bike I really need. I've never traded a bike so I really don't know the process. I will only want to trade for an 08' XB12S with same color and around the same miles. Even if I cannot trade it will someone let me know is it worth it trading it back to the dealer for an S or will I get shafted. I'm located in Charleston, South Carolina. My name is Leon and my number is 843-991-1797, e-mail is primus151@yahoo.com. Any HELP would be appreciated.http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/1118_20071229111240_L.jpghttp://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/1118_20071229111206_L.jpghttp://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/1118_20071229111052_L.jpg

The main difference is the seat. You can buy a new S seat to replace the Scg seat and save yourself the trouble of the trade. I know the suspension is set up a bit differently, but you're only talking .5 of an inch or so. It's a great looking Buell by the way!

You Know what,,, I was in negotiating with my wife for 10 years, yes 10 years to get my bike, I have been a BUELL fan for longer than that and when I went to the store I got exactly what I wanted. There was a 2007 next to it for only 7500 but i did not even look at it.... get the toy you really want or it is not worth it.. I like your bike though, and replacing the seat will probably make you happy.
I hope it will work out for you,,,

You can look around here and on badweatherbikers.com in the classified section you might be able to find someone that is willing to trade the suspension of hie s for your cg suspension then you would be set without getting shaft by the stealership cause if you trade at the dealer I bet you will get shafted.

Start with a CityX seat. It is the tallest one there is. That should be enough to give you what you're looking for. And I'm not just saying that because I have one for sale.
