View Full Version : Fuel/Ignition Map Resource?

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone on this board had created or compiled a collection of fuel/ignition maps?

I figured with the large number of ECMspyers out there that a compilation of Intake/Pipe combinations and their respective tuning would be available.

Thanks,

Jon

Alright...since no one seems to have any ideas here...no worries...I have something to show:

I recently have been using ECM spy and playing around with the whole thing...while this may seem like a carefree attitude I figure if I brock my ECM there are plenty hanging around out there...have 2 with correct firmware on the way!

So here is a spreadsheet of my downloaded "Race" fuel map that was on the ECMspy website...ran like crap..check these numbers out!

If anyone would care to compare them to their numbers and highlight differences or post numbers it'd be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Jon

What bike do you have? Looks like a nine judging by the low fuel values.

Yeah...I suppose that would help...2004 XB9R with Jardine RT1, Trojan Airbox delete and K&N, Rerouted breathers...

mikeb2275: sounds good!

Thanks again!

My map and Mike's map would be useless as we have a 12. So sorry I cant help you more.

Imagine such an index!
Scan its menus; click-on the engine, its intake & exhaust, and ECM family.
Select and download map.txt file.
Since I'm dreaming, map files can have provision for users to leave reviews & comments.
Sorry, Jon: XB12 here.

If someone can get me the maps, I can make that index happen. Just sayin...

Im thinkin a website, rather than an app.

Heck yeah...Aptbldr I think you get where I am going...there is definitely enough raw data and people out there having messed with ECMspy to have pretty much all the leg work done...then it would simply be Burn basic EEPROM and slight adjustments vice complete scratch up builds...

Course' that is kinda fun too...

I made a website to download EEPROM's. It's not the version I am working on with drop-down boxes and menus and stuff, but it was a fast way to get them up. Check the thread below.

EcmSpy EEPROM and Maps website (http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/Do-It-Yourself-Buell-Mods/EcmSpy-EEPROMs-and-Maps-website)

Configuration ID needs to be included in the organization. Year/model are helpful, but the config is the best way of determining which EEPROM you need.

I think rather than burning the whole EEPROM, I recommend loading the EEPROM in EcmSpy and just burning the maps. That is what I have been doing anyway.

Sure, but as a stock EEPROM resource (i.e. if someone needed to reflash back to stock), they'd have to pick through a few before finding the right one. It'd be easier to just include that information in your categorization.
