You'll have to excuse my lack of Buell knowledge, but I've only owned my XB12S for about 24 hours.
There is a rod that is connected to the shifter. the other end of the shifter is connected to something on the side of the transmission. Whatever that is, is broke on my bike. Can anybody tell me what part I'm looking for and where I can find it?

The little bracket that the other end of the rod is connected to is the shifter linkage that actually shifts the tranny. If only the aluminum bracket is broken, it's an easy fix. Take it to your local H-D dealer and have them order you a new one. To remove it, you just have to pull the screw all the way out and it should slide off. (It's splined.) Now, if the SHAFT is what is broken, you can still replace it, but it will take a bit of a tranny rebuild.
