Thanks! I sent Erik and message via FaceBook to see if it was true. I doubt he will confirm it yet but we will just have to see.

I wonder if it will be a limited production bike, just enough to qualify it for AMA.

May said that the B-2 was the fastest bike he has ever ridden .:D[up]

he did say production bike, not street legal bike correct?

Abledcool1
06-17-2010, 11:30 PM
Your right Kalifonia about not saying it would be street legal. To me it sounded like they needed a new street legal bike to base their race bike off of, since they had to base their current race bike off of a 2009 model. I'm not sure how that stuff works, but I'm really glad I heard this!

Thanks for the follow through. I didn't expect him to give too much info.

I didn't either but it never hurts to ask. He did say "it's going to take a lot of investors to make all of this happen". I reassured we could all help out it some way all he would have todo is ask. It would be cool to see a company such as EBR that was owned by the riders themselves.

If every Buell owner invested 1k, that would give him about 137,000,000 million to pay with. We could put Buell back on the map! We can always dream I guess.

Woah! Someone is dreaming! I dont have a $1000 dollars to just give away, then spend another $12k on a new bike.

I'd pay $1000 for stocks then when the company starts selling bikes out the ass it will pay for my new bike on it's own and then some.

Would married guys get a discount?? I can already see that bank account conversation going extremely well... haha

I know one of the general concerns about the Buells everyone has is what happens when all the parts start to dry up. Do you think there's any chance once EBR gets up on it's feet that some parts might start being manufactured by them again? It wouldn't surprise me if HD kept a lock down on parts manufacturing just to continue with their current 'smack in the face' policies, but it would be nice to be able to ride my bike like I really want and not worry about replacing something stupid 10k miles from now. Unfortunately until then, or until i can collect a few parts motors, my bike is just going to be babied. That's not what I bought it for, but still something I'll have to deal with.

I doubt HD holds the patent on the "idea" of oil in the swingarm and fuell in the frame. I'm sure EB could make some tweaks to the original designs and call it his own. You would think?

Edit:
Damn... just answered my own question.

Patent is only good for seven years though. Correct me if I am wrong but the patent is about to expire.
