i have been wondering about this as well, its very annoying

yeah it only took us three weeks to ask

oh wow, I hadn't even noticed those. It's annoying now that I see them though, haha. The only part that really bothers me, is when I get bored and try to check up on the forum on my phone when I'm stuck in a car or something like that, I have to scroll down past both of those long pictures of lefox's bike and helmet every time I open a new page. It takes 5 minutes just to read each page because I can only scroll an inch at a time.

Adblock is the way to go...never knew this site had any ads!

wow I just put adblock on safari and it made all the ads go away but in a good way. I thought it would just leave a blank square were they were but it does away with them all together.

I discussed this with two developers. The best situation is to use the image upload we built into the site. It is designed to re-size the images perfectly for threads. We can't re-size images that are hosted elsewhere.

I also don't like other forums where people use free image hosts because the images end up broken after the free 30, 60, 90 days, etc. You can have a really great post with lots of pictures that ends up ranking in search engines. Some poor sap conducts a search a few months later and can't see any of the pictures. Please learn to use our image upload so I can insure that the images are always hosted and supported. Thanks.

Ooh, they're gone again. That's why I never noticed them. I'm on my computer now and they don't show up, but I was on my wife's computer when I read this the first time, so she much not have an ad blocker on her computer. At least it's good to know I wasn't going crazy.
